Voted silver in the ‘Best Race Series’ category at the
2016 Running Awards, the Royal British Legion Major
Series is popular with beginners and experienced
runners alike.
This year, the obstacle course race series, which
is one of the UK’s largest and most established,
returned to venues in Kent, Warwickshire, Leeds
and Scotland for its 2016 spring series, bringing
thousands of muddy runners, new obstacles, an
exciting new venue and a brand new charity partner,
the Royal British Legion.
The race will be returning in the autumn, with events
scheduled to take place at Eridge Park in Tunbridge
Wells on the 1st October, Bramham Park in Leeds on
the 16th October and Ragley Hall in Warwickshire on
the 22nd October. Participants can expect more of
the Major’s famous obstacles, including mud crawls,
cargo nets and a vanishing bridge, as well as brand
new obstacles for 2016 including a giant MOMA
porridge pot and a burning building. Participants
needn’t fear though, as over 40 of the Major’s finest
troops will be on hand throughout the course to help
and encourage the runners, over 5km and 10km
distances.
The Royal British Legion Major Series is focused
around camaraderie, teamwork and having fun,
making it an ideal challenge for groups of friends
or colleagues. Whether you’re running with friends,
colleagues or your sports team, The Royal British
