I enjoy the freedom of trail running, combined with the test of mental and physical strength and technique with all of the obstacles that stand in your path. It’s great running on your own, but add in the camaraderie of all your fellow athletes, the willingness to see everyone do well, and the smiles along the way, and it really is the most fun you can have whilst exercising!!! 7 Any pre / post race ritual you simply can’t live without? I love routine, and have been told I have OCD, but in my eyes I have no rituals! 1 This is me: JENNY SHACKLETON 2 Age and occupation: Age 35 (just!) I’m a veterinary assistant. 3 How many races have you done? I’ve lost count! Well over 100. 4 Favourite race of all time : Rat Race Dirty Weekend. 5 Best bling/headband: Judgement day medal. It’s engraved with my niece’s name who passed away one week before the race. Everyone wore orange to race in memory of her so that medal holds a lot of sentimental value. 6 What do you love about OCR? I love the friendships you can build through OCR. You start as strangers at the start line and finish as friends. 7 Any pre / post race ritual you simply can’t live without? Eat everything. RACE TEAM
