Get ready to face, not one, but two laps of the Beast for over 41 kilometres and 60+ obstacles, in one of our most challenging race locations. This event will force you to dig deep inside your soul to find a will and determination to get you to that finish line, it will ask you many of the same questions as the team based endurance events on a personal level but ultimately it is you, and only you who can conquer the inner struggle to reach the end and not give up. You are in effect out there on your own. However, whilst not technically a team event I am sure that, knowing the Spartan Race UK community, there will always be reassuring cheers, cries of encouragement and the occasional pat on the back for the Ultra Beast runners from spectators, Beast runners, volunteers and staff alike. It will be interesting to see how, if at all, the competitors differ from that of the Hurricane Heat. I can’t wait to see the course or the reception it gets but what I do know is that the guys and girls taking on this monumental UK first will have that same steely gaze of pure determination and will to drive them on that it seems all Spartan Endurance competitors need to complete the tasks they are set or set themselves. These events are all made to grow you as a person and lead you to the ultimate Spartan test of endurance, the AGOGE... Another UK first coming this August!
